Day 1: Arrival in Tangier- Visit the City – Drive to Chefchaouen

5 days from Tangier to Marrakech via desert starts when we pick you up from your location.  Whether it is the airport, the port, or your place of residence in the city of Tangier, known as the “Bride of the North”. Start your exploration with Tangier’s famous sites, such as the Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. As we travel inland through Tetouan and the picturesque Rif Mountains, frequent stops will provide us with panoramic views of the stunning landscape. The day concludes with an overnight stay in Chefchaouen, a city famous for its charming blue architecture, creating a tranquil and captivating atmosphere.


Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes


After a delicious breakfast, delve into Chefchaouen, navigating its narrow alleys and enjoying the unique charm of the Blue City. Our journey then leads to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through this well-preserved archaeological gem decorated with intricate mosaics and historic structures. Next, we set our course for Meknes, the Ismaili capital, where you’ll explore important landmarks, including Bab al-Mansour, the Souani Cistern Basin, the Royal Stables, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. The day culminates in Fes, with an overnight stay in a traditional riad, providing an authentic Moroccan experience.


Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Today, we wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast and shower at the desert camp, you will ride a camel or 4×4 back to Merzouga village. We will take our car and head to Rissani, where we will explore the city and its old market. The tour continues through several other Berber settlements, including Mallab, Tinjdad and Al-Jarf, a village famous for its historic irrigation wells. The Todra Valley and its magnificent 300 meter canyons will be our next destination. In fact, the force of the water pushes its way through the cracks in the rocks. We will walk into the valley, then continue to the Dades Valley where we will spend the night.


Day 5: Boumalne Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

We will continue our journey to Ouarzazate, passing through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura Oasis on our way to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, 27 kilometers outside the city of Ouarzazate, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its beautiful landscapes have been used in many Hollywood films, including “Lawrence of Arabia,” “The Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and many others.

The southern kasbahs, which are fortified palaces, are a good example of how different Moroccan architecture and culture are. After completing a walking tour to visit the Kasbah, we will set out through the “Tichka Pass” in the Atlas Mountains, enjoying some wonderful panoramic views and Berber villages along the way. Once in Marrakech we will drop you off in your Riad or Airport. End of your 5 Days in Morocco.
