Morocco Itinerary: 4 Days tour from Marrakech
Day 1: Marrakesh – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge
The 4-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour commences with an early pick-up from either the airport or your accommodation in Marrakesh. We will embark on a captivating journey through the mesmerizing High Atlas mountains, passing through the scenic Tizi-N-Tichka pass. Along the way, we will make stops to admire the panoramic views of the awe-inspiring landscapes. Our first visit will be to the remarkable Kasbah of Telouat.
Continuing our adventure. We will proceed to explore the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village that holds the prestigious title of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This famous Kasbah has served as a backdrop for numerous blockbuster movies. Including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and popular TV series like Game of Thrones. Afterward, we will make our way to Ouarzazate, known as “The gate of the desert,” Thereafter to Kalaat M’Gouna and the enchanting Dades valley and gorge. In Boumalne dades we stay for the night at a Charming Riad including a delightful dinner.
Day 2: Bouamlne Dades – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
Following breakfast. We head to the Todra Gorge, the smallest valley between the two tallest mountains in the area, where we will spend magical moments surrounded by breathtaking views of the mountains and the nature of the oasis that lends a charming touch to this peaceful valley. Free time for Lunch in Tinjdad the hub and a village that is vital to the local economy.
Along the way. wWe will pass through a few small Berber villages before arriving in Erfoud, often called as the Capital of Dates as well as being the Gate of Sahara Desert. Later we continue our way to Merzouga Desert Once there mount you camels and let it led you across the dunes to reach a Charming Desert cam located at the heart of the dunes. Day 3: Merzouga Desert Excursion
Today, after breakfast we leave the camp. Our first destination will be the Gnawa village, home to black immigrants from South Africa, Sudan, and Mali who established their own village in Merzouga. We will visit them, to listen to the Musics they play. Later we give them a tip, and then depart for Meffis Mountain, the site of the ancient mines discovered during the French colonial era. Thereafter leave for the Nomads for drinking a cup of tea and discover their lifestyle. After lunch, take a little stroll through one of the desert’s oases. At last, we transport you to the hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fez
Wake up early in the morning to witness the captivating sunrise in the desert. After enjoying a leisurely breakfast. We will then bid farewell to the desert and make our way to the town of Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani continues to thrive as a prominent trading center in the region. Boasting a bustling souk that comes alive on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After exploring the lively souk of Rissani, we will proceed to Erfoud, where we will visit one of the workshops showcasing fossilized marble.
Following the visit to Erfoud, we will drive alongside the scenic Ziz River, making a stop to admire the panoramic view of the stunning Ziz Valley. You will have some free time to enjoy lunch in Midelt. Continuing our journey, we will arrive at the cedar forest, which is home to the Barbary Macaques. Feel free to interact with and feed these fascinating creatures as you explore the forest. Next, we will visit Ifrane, renowned for its cool temperatures, snowfall, and charming alpine-style houses. It’s no wonder that Ifrane is often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco. Finally, we will drop you off at the airport or your accommodation in Fes, marking the end of your 4 Days Marrakech Desert tour.
