Morocco Itinerary: 8 Days tour from Marrakech
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – Sightseeing Tour
An experienced driver guide from Morocco outing will welcome you at the airport and pick you up to the Riad for checking. Once you are done, we will meet you with a local guide. Who you will be spending with 3 hours discovering Marrakech and the fantastic city’s outstanding landmarks. The local guide will be showing you the following sites: Koutoubia Mosque, Jemaa El Fna Square, Saadian Tombs, magnificent walls, traditional apparel and handicraft markets.
Free time for lunch then continue your sightseeing you will visit next Ben Youssef Medersa, charming tiny lanes, etc. Once your city comes to an end goodbye your guide and continue wandering on your own in the Medina or Jamaa el F’na Square. Later head back to the Riad for the Overnight stay.
Day 2: Marrakesh – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge
We’ll get up early since we have to travel to Boumalne dades through Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. After a typical Breakfast we cross the Magnificent High Atlas Mountains. Where we must make a pause in Tizi N Tichka to capture a memorable picture at an elevation of 2260 meters above sea level. Thereafter, we set off again to the well-known Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Here hundreds of movies have shot such as the Gladiator, the Mummy, Game of thrones and many other. Free time for lunch then leave for Ouarzazate, Rose Valley, and the Dades Gorge in the late afternoon, we will drop you off in a Charming Riad located in the middle of the Rocks.
Day 3: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
Following breakfast, we head to the Todra Gorge, the smallest valley between the two tallest mountains in the area, where we will spend magical moments surrounded by breathtaking views of the mountains and the nature of the oasis that lends a charming touch to this peaceful valley. Free time for Lunch in Tinjdad the hub and a village that is vital to the local economy.
Along the way, we will pass through a few small Berber villages before arriving in Erfoud, often called as the Capital of Dates as well as being the Gate of Sahara Desert. Later we continue our way to Merzouga Desert Once there mount you camels and let it led you across the dunes to reach a Charming Desert cam located at the heart of the dunes. Stay the overnight at a luxury tent including dinner and a Berber party under a vast open sky of stars.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert Excursion
Today, after breakfast we leave the camp, our first destination will be the Gnawa village, home to black immigrants from South Africa, Sudan, and Mali who established their own village in Merzouga. We will visit them, to listen to the Musics they play, later we give them a tip, and then depart for Meffis Mountain, the site of the ancient mines discovered during the French colonial era. Thereafter leave for the Nomads for drinking a cup of tea and discover their lifestyle. After lunch, take a little stroll through one of the desert’s oases. At last, we transport you to the hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 5: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fez
Get up early to witness a final dawn before departing from the Desert. Following a customary breakfast and a much-needed wash, we drive to Fes via the magnificent Ziz Valley, home to the longest oasis of palm trees. We then continue on via numerous open villages and bazaars, where we may purchase handicrafts, traditional apparel, and decorative stones. We stop for lunch in Midelt, the apple capital, and then proceed to the cedar forest, home of the wild macaques. After a while, we set off for Ifrane, which is referred to be Morocco’s Little Switzerland. We finally arrive in Fez after a full day of travel, where we spend the night in a charming riad in the Medina.
Day 6: Sightseeing day tour to explore and visit the city of Fez
Once you have breakfast, get ready to explore the city Fes which known as the Scientific Capital. We will meet you with a native local guide to show you all around and explain the history of the city. Fez, It is a diverse city inhabited by Berbers, Arabs, Jews, French and others. It is actually a favorite destination for visitors after Marrakesh. Moreover, it has an ancient city which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During your city tour you will be discovering the following sites: the University of Al-Qarawiyyin, which is considered the first university in Morocco and perhaps in the whole world, the Attarine School, the Bou Inania School, walls with Marinid architecture, the Najjarine Fountain, the ancient fountains of Fez. Later once your city tour ends with the local guide, we will come to pick you up back to the Riad.
Day 7: Fez – Volubilis and Meknes – Chefchaouen
Today, we leave Fes and head to the imperial city of Meknes, once there feel free to visit the Charming Ggate of Bab Mansour, the Sahrij Suani which is a large swimming pool next to the old corn store, furthermore visit the Hri Souani, Qara Prison, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. from Meknes we drive to Volubilis, (the Roman Empire), an Amazigh city that was part of the Moroccan Kingdom. But it was still part of the Roman Empire, and therefore had a different structure because of the different cultures that were its pillars.
In fact, Volubilis was collapsed by French excavations as a modern-day Moroccan colonization and earthquake. Fortunately, it has been partially restored to keep its stone walls standing. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After visiting this wonderful site, we move on to Chefchaouen. Upon arrival we transfer you to a lovely Riad for Overnight stay.
Day 8: Explore Chefchaouen – Rif Mountains – Tangier
Ater a northern breakfast. We leave for Tangier; along the way we will be crossing the fascinating Rif Mountains. Which lies between the blue city and the bride of the north Tangier. Once we arrive Tangier if time permits. We will be visiting the famous Hercule cave, the Cape Spartel, and the ancient Medina. Once your departure time has arrived.
